MTV Network expands footprint to Pakistan.

MTV Pakistan is now the 57th MTV channel across the globe. As part of the agreement, Indus Music, Pakistan?s premier music channel has been launched as MTV Pakistan and would be distributed across 3.5 million C & S households across Pakistan. MTV Pakistan would be headed by the ever energetic and cultured Ghazanfar Ali as its CEO, supported by the suave Wiqar Ali Khan as its Vice president, Programming and Creative & Content Head and the dynamic Ahsan Ali as the Marketing and Sales head.

MTV Pakistan will be a 24-hour, youth television channel that will effect the tastes and interests of the Pakistan youth through a combination of Pakistani and international music videos and locally produced content, complemented by MTV?s international long-form programming and specials, such as European Music Awards, Video Music Awards and Lycra MTV Style Awards would also be included in the programming grid.

The look & feel as well as the packaging on MTV Pakistan would be fresh, contemporary, locally-relevant and International as in any other territory, around the world. MTV Pakistan will offer exciting, new opportunities for music companies to showcase emerging and established artists, as well as enable advertisers to effectively reach the elusive youth demographic.
